Does your truck have the 318 or 360? I am no expert but I do own a 77 Ford F-150 with stock gears and it has a 300 with a 1bbl carb and its pushing 35X14.5 boggers with no problem at all. I am just a small town hick so I would just go with a 4bbl and new intake and run better exhaust. I know the big time 4wheelers on here will have a lot better advice.

i need some help with my rig. i just purchased a 1983 Dodge Ramcharger and since i have purchased it i have put better rims on it with some pirelli scorpions A/T 32x11.5, the wheels are 15's. by the end of the year i wanted to run some 35 or 37"s x13 on my 15's, probably with some beadlockers. my problem with this is that i dont know if my front and rear ends will handle it, they are stock as far as i know. so do i need to beef up my diffs before i put these bigger tires on her? also i would appreciate any and all suggestions on how to make an all around great but affordable rig. i love to play in the mud, climb hills and rocks, and trail, i also enjoy the thought of playing in the water, and long trails in the woods (overnight sort of things). let me knowq any suggestions thanks.

Sincerely, Sur Easley
