Lots Of Pictures

Group One

Group one left early and had some fun

The group was following Mikey in his Jeep and Mikey got in a little too deep.. Good thing he has a gas motor! Allan driving the Ron Carter Hummer got a little to close to the water and found some soft sand... John Key hooks up a yank strap as Auggie looks on...

They get Mikey out of the water and get his motor started.... John Key and Bob Kraitcher are trying to get two nylon yank straps untied, this is why your not supposed to tie them, they get a knot that wont come out... they argue with the knot for some time, back at the Hotel we watched this on video in fast motion and it looks like John and Bob are having a big fight.. it was really funny.... he he...

MUD-BOG

Playing at the mud bog

The Mudbog is a great area to play, specially with my new super swamper tires! There is a chicken way around this mess which I always had to take when I had my GSA's but the Swampers walk right through it!....

These pictures are of Lee's TAN VEE... Lee is fearless, he jumped right in with his truck and was able to maneuver through the first big bunch of yuck, but when his truck went into the second big mud hole he popped the bead on his left front tire and lost air pressure, these pictures are of me wincing him out... In the second picture you can see the tire in the muck and just the big rim on the left front of the truck! It was an awesome sight.... Even better! was Lee, when I got him out, he jumped out of the truck laughing and took some pictures!... His crew got the tire changed in a few minutes with their onboard bottled air and air tools! They were like a NASCAR pit crew... In the background youmay be able to see some of the crowd that watched this fun.. next we have to pull out the Ron Carter Hummer.. it was also stuck..

The Ron Carter dealership Hummer really got in the gook! Auggie got wet and muddy to the waist, the truck was leaking in muddy water through the back doors...

After we winched him out we thought you would appreciate these photos of the beautiful CEPEK Chrome rims!

Misc Stuff

Misc Pictures of our great time at the creek and prize awards on Saturday night

Pictures at the Hotel Saturday Night, the Hotel was kind enough to let us use the meeting room and supply a coffee pot! Allan Madar brought a projector and VCR so we were able to watch the videos that everyone took that day! We had prizes from ALL THREE Texas Hummer dealerships and AM General and Stinger, and Piping Products Inc (Patricks Company) and of course River Oaks Car Stereo (my company).. we had a blast with a drawing giving away all the prizes, EVERYONE got something!! Everyone was happy! Here in the pictures, we have Michael Lay, Keri Quinn (Lucy had to wait outside) ME and Gerald Luiz.... In the next picture I am giving away one of the T-Shirts that AMGeneral sent us! Gee we had a great time and I wish to thank everyone that donated prizes! They were appreciated by all!

Eddie coming down a trail.

Sunday Morning view from the hotel balcony, the cops right before they took us all to jail for taking up so many parking places!

Bob tangled with a small tree while turning around on Sunday morning... he was still smiling though he he..

One Bad MUDDER!

Burned Bridge Beach

A We cross the creek to get to the burned out bridge beach, it is one of the most used camping spots along the creek.. The burned bridge used to cross the creek many years ago but has washed out and fallen down and they remaining pylons are all burned loking so we call it the Burned bridge.. Someone told us the bridge used to connect some oil fields to the real world, I have looked for the bridge on maps back as far as 1974 and don't see it..Must have been there along time ago..

The group crosses the creek (not too deep) and parks all in a line for pictures. Some of us ate lunch and talked and compaired trucks and modifications and such. It was kinda cold sittin here posing for pictures but wasn't too bad when we were moving around.

Across the creek to the Burned Bridge Beach, it was a sight to see a line of Hummers make the crossing.

The second picture shows Gerald Luiz having a hard time climbing the sand, Gerald was one of the best drivers of the bunch and I learned alot from watching his driving technics BUT I made sure and got this picure of him having trouble while the long line of Hummers went right on past him... ha ha...

David and his decked out FJ80 coming trough the water!

We tried to get some group shots but it was kinda hard to do cause there were so many!.

The affection I get from my family is enormous! ha ha...

John Key and son Richard (Richard did most of the driving) seemed to have had a blast! They are from Big Spring Texas and told me thier dessert Hummer wasn't used to all the water and bushes...They have a 1995 Green wagon.

The Hendersons from New Mexico had a Tan 4 door opentop..... Gerald watching Lee and others cross the creek.

Lee's TAN VEE! It was a highlight of our show! Lee (in the camo) talking to Gerald Luiz and others.

Bob K. lookin for someone to talk to!

We do this every year around Valentines day!   Join us on the next one!
